Even today, it is possible to encourage Russian companies not to stop developing ESG practices. Firstly, this can be done by expanding legislation in this area in close cooperation with business. Low credit rates can be introduced for businesses that engage in decarbonisation or eco-efficiency programmes.
Secondly, it can be achieved by developing and systematising the market infrastructure (stimulating green finance, systematising and regulating ESG-rating services).
