Sistema JSFC portfolio includes large businesses such as MTS and Segezha Group, and within them there are units and functional sustainability strategies and an ESG management system has been built.
In contrast, some of our assets are still in the early stages of building a sustainable management system. As such, we face the challenge of digitising results and comparing the performance of different portfolio companies.
We therefore work progressively with companies to embed ESG principles at every stage of their operations, and have formulated recommended common approaches and methodological documents for the development of sustainability practices.
This is largely thanks to Sistema JSFC winning the main award of the All-Russian contest Leaders of Russian Business: Dynamics, Responsibility, Sustainability, which is held annually by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The company that gets into the top five nominees in all three areas of the competition: economic, social and environmental.
