In creating a sustainable architecture, Russia is guided by global practices, which boil down to achieving energy efficiency, fuel conservation, switching to alternative renewable energy sources and other green technologies, which exist in different countries and are applied there with varying degrees of intensity.

The aim of these practices in any country is the same — to minimise the negative impact of people on the environment, to achieve comfortable and safe living and working conditions, and to create an environment for societal development. Russia follows the same principles in developing green buildings.
