A new eco-park will be created in Moscow on Pokrovskaya embankment

In Moscow, they plan to create an eco-park on the Pokrovskaya embankment of the Moscow River. It will become a place of rest for the townspeople and will make it possible to improve the empty territory, according to the publication “Dni.ru”.

As part of the project, eight pedestrian paths will be built on a 17-hectare site between the river embankment and the green zone, and the routes will be equipped taking into account the needs of visitors with limited mobility. It also provides for the construction of an amphitheater for 250 spectators. Swings will be installed along the trails, slopes to the water, a beach with sun loungers, bridges and viewing platforms will be equipped.

The design of the park is carried out by one of the architectural bureaus of the capital. According to the experts of the organization, the ecopark must meet the requirements of careful conservation of the landscape and embody the harmony of nature and man. The organization expects that the community of residents of the district will continue to look after the territory.

The new park is part of the park area of the peninsula. Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo is located on the banks of the Moskva River in the vicinity of the parking lot. From them comes the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo forest park, the area of which is 222 hectares. Here is an old estate, which is an example of an ensemble — an object of cultural heritage of federal significance. In 1978, the park was declared a monument of landscape gardening art, in 1998, according to the Decree of assessments from Moscow, parts of the forest park were formed as a specially protected natural area — a natural and historical park where the Khimki River flows and springs flow. This park is of interest to residents not only of the district, but of the entire city.

It is noteworthy that Red Book moorhens and coots fly to the Pokrovskoye-Streshnoy park for the summer. However, in 2017, the park began reconstruction, during which the river bank line was damaged. It is believed that for this reason, in 2018, rare birds did not fly to the park for the summer season.

In general, both the forest-park massif of the district and the infrastructure are actively developing. The specialized developer Spartak Stadium has invested 80 billion rubles in the development of the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo peninsula and plans to invest another 230 billion rubles.

In the area, the developer has already built the Otkritie Bank Arena football stadium and the comfort-class residential project City on the Tushino River-2018, the Sparrow kindergarten, the central pedestrian boulevard has been landscaped, and 7 km of road infrastructure has been built. The construction of the Tennis Center of international level, the spiritual and cultural center, three kindergartens, and the Primavera Ecopark on the embankment are underway. The developer plans to build the Palace of Sports.
